Ganglion cysts, otherwise known as bible cysts, are masses that can arise on the back or front of the wrist. They are benign and have a number of treatment options including rupturing the masses without surgery, or surgical removal. I use this animation to show patients how the problem arises and to demonstrate our treatment options. We watch the video together in the office as I describe the problem and treatment options.

This animation was designed to illustrate a medical problem for a legal case. It shows a 3d model of the spine and the hardware that was placed for this specific patient. It shows surrounding nerve and how they were affected by the hardware placement.

Trigger finger is a very common condition that can affect any finger. Patients typically present stating that their finger clicks or pops with motion, or gets stuck. I use this animation to demonstrate the condition in the office and discuss treatment options.

This video was created for a radiology group to demonstrate a modern procedure for opening up the carotid artery while preventing small fragments from causing a stroke during the procedure.

Pain around the base of the thumb is one of the most common conditions treated in a hand surgery office. I use this animation to show patients the pathology that causes the pain. We then discuss a number of treatment options that can include splinting, steroid injections, and surgery if the pain is significant enough to warrant surgery and we have failed more conservative measures.

This animation shows the anatomy of the carpal tunnel as well as one of the treatment options. I use this animation every day in the office to help patients understand the cause of their numbness and how we can improve the symptoms.

This animation shows a classic broken wrist, or distal radius fracture. It is meant to demonstrate what happens when the fracture is reduced (put back into position) with and without hardware. In the office I explain what is happening as we watch the video together. This greatly helps in medical decision making.
